Designed for a broad mix of guests, staff and conference delegates, the project introduces new facilities that support both comfort and performance. A new kitchen, breakfast areas and back-of-house servicing zones improve day-to-day operation, while five floors of additional accommodation increase capacity and flexibility throughout the year. Careful phasing and close collaboration with the client allow the hotel to remain fully operational during construction, maintaining continuity for staff and guests.
Natural light, warm finishes and a soft contemporary palette create a calm and inviting atmosphere across the interiors. Heritage elements are retained where appropriate , grounding the hotel in its Georgian character while presenting a refreshed and accessible environment. These interventions enhance both guest comfort and operational efficiency, resulting in a more resilient and experience-led destination that strengthens its role within Edinburgh’s hospitality landscape.
