Our work spans complex learning campuses often integrating wider community facilities, new build schools, extensions and refurbishments. Each project begins from a close collaboration with educators, pupils, local authorities and communities developing a shared understanding of ambition, constraints and long‑term goals. Through early engagement and collaboration, we design calm, welcoming spaces that support modern teaching, promote wellbeing and stay flexible for future change.

Early Years

Our early years environments are designed to feel safe, playful and nurturing, supporting curiosity, exploration and early social development.
We create spaces that encourage movement, creativity and connection to the outdoors, with clear sightlines, generous daylight and direct access to external play. Carefully scaled spaces, warm material choices and flexible layouts help support a range of learning styles while giving children confidence and independence at an early stage

Primary

Primary schools play a vital role in shaping community identity as well as learning.

Our primary school designs focus on openness, flexibility, supporting collaborative learning while allowing for quieter, focused spaces where needed. We prioritise clear organisation and easy wayfinding, creating environments that are welcoming for pupils, staff and visitors alike. Our designs integrate outdoor learning and play spaces, ensuring strong relationships between classrooms, play spaces and the wider environment.

Secondary

Our secondary education environments are designed to balance structure and independence whilst remaining welcoming and connected.

The educational spaces we create are diverse, providing more opportunities for independent study and informal collaboration. This varied learning environment encourages natural interaction, whilst specialist spaces remain adaptable and future‑proof, supporting all aspects of learning, including community‑focused campus models that bring together learning spaces, social areas, and shared facilities such as leisure areas, GP services, libraries, and community cafés.

Higher and Further education

Our Higher and Further education buildings support learning, collaboration and wellbeing.

We have worked across retrofit, extension and new-build projects, often within live campuses where careful phasing, sensitivity to context and continuity of use are essential. Our people‑first approach focuses on clear sightlines, acoustics, comfort and legibility, creating inclusive learning environments that enhance the student experience while responding to the technical, operational and long‑term demands of higher education.

ASN & Specialist Provision

ASN and specialist learning environments require calm, carefully considered spaces that support wellbeing, independence and inclusion.

When designing these settings, we place particular emphasis on sensory needs, accessibility and clarity, creating supportive environments that feel reassuring and easy to navigate. Where appropriate, these spaces are sensitively integrated within wider campuses, promoting inclusion while providing tailored environments that respond thoughtfully to individual needs and support a positive, dignified learning experience.

Learning campuses

Designed as welcoming hubs at the heart of their communities, learning campuses bring education, learning and local resources together in one place.

Supporting learning journeys from early years and primary through to secondary, further education and skills training, these environments help create smooth education transitions and clear pathways into employment. By integrating shared community facilities such as libraries, GP services, and fitness and leisure uses, learning campuses grow into welcoming neighbourhood hubs that support everyday life, active living and learning at all ages.

Sustainable Education Buildings

Sustainable education buildings should support learning while reducing environmental impact and improving long‑term wellbeing.

We work closely with our partners to understand their environmental ambitions and wider learning‑estate priorities, shaping each project through a site‑specific, fabric‑first approach, using low‑energy, Passivhaus and net‑zero principles where appropriate. Our designs also align with LEIP objectives creating healthy, efficient learning environments built to last.
