📸 First Look: Inside the New Galashiels Academy!
After years of collaboration, it is fantastic to see the new Galashiels Academy - Photographs campus brought to life and thriving as a vibrant hub for learning, sport and community activity. We are delighted to share stunning new photography showcasing its inspiring educational spaces and striking setting within the Scottish Borders.
The new Galashiels Academy opened to pupils, staff and the public at the beginning of 2026 and it has been exciting to see the secondary school and community settle into their fantastic new learning and leisure spaces!
We are delighted to share a series of initial photographs of the completed building, captured by Paul Zanre Photography.
Designed for Scottish Borders Council and delivered with Hub South East and Morrison Construction, the project is a new secondary school for 1000 pupils with specialist ASN facilities, community swimming pool, hydrotherapy pool and sports facilities included under one roof – a true community campus.
