Double Success for jmarchitects at the Scottish Home Awards 2026

We are delighted to celebrate a fantastic evening at the Scottish Home Awards 2026, with two jmarchitects projects recognised among Scotland’s leading residential developments. St Andrew’s Drive Phases 2 & 3 for Southside Housing Association was named Regeneration Development of the Year, while Ballindean Road in Dundee, delivered for Caledonia Housing Association and Cullross, won Social Housing Development of the Year (Up to 100 Units).

We are delighted to celebrate a fantastic evening at the Scottish Home Awards 2026, with two jmarchitects projects recognised among Scotland’s leading residential developments. St Andrew’s Drive Phases 2 & 3 for Southside Housing Association was Social Housing Development of the Year (Over 100 Units), while Ballindean Road in Dundee, delivered for Caledonia Housing Association and Cullross, won Social Housing Development of the Year (Up to 100 Units).

Together, the awards recognise jmarchitects’ commitment to delivering high-quality, sustainable housing that creates lasting benefits for residents and communities across Scotland.

Designed for Southside Housing Association, St Andrew’s Drive Phases 2 & 3 has transformed a former 1960s deck-access housing estate in Pollokshields into a thriving neighbourhood of 120 affordable homes. The landscape-led masterplan combines contemporary urban villa forms with retained mature trees, rain gardens, shared green spaces and sustainable infrastructure, creating an inclusive community with respect for its historic context. The project recently received further national recognition as a winner at the RIAS Awards 2026, reinforcing its status as a leading example of social housing in Scotland.

At Ballindean Road, a former disused gasworks site in Dundee has been transformed into a vibrant new residential community comprising 67 affordable homes. Developed in partnership with Cullross and Caledonia Housing Association, the project provides a diverse mix of houses, flats and accessible homes, delivering much-needed affordable housing while revitalising a long-neglected brownfield site. Community consultation played a key role in shaping the development, while landscape improvements and public art help create a strong sense of identity and place.

This latest accolade follows the project’s success at the RIAS Awards 2026, where St Andrew’s Drive Phases 2 & 3 was also recognised as a winner. Together, these awards celebrate the project’s architectural quality, commitment to sustainability and positive social impact, reinforcing its position as a leading example of housing-led regeneration in Scotland.
