The replacement Galashiels Academy is taking shape!
As we move into 2025, it has been great to see works at our Galashiels Academy project progress. The emerging views of the building through the park landscape, which were visualised years ago are becoming reality and look fantastic especially on a beautiful, misty winters morning!
As we move into 2025, it has been great to see works at our Galashiels Academy project progress. The emerging views of the building through the park landscape, which were visualised years ago are becoming reality and look fantastic especially on a beautiful, misty winters morning!
jmarchitects continue to attend site regularly to observe the progress of works on site and to support the rest of the construction team delivering the project. Cladding and internal works are well progressed, and the team’s focus is also now turning towards the wider site and landscape works.
The new facility is being constructed whilst the existing school and community swimming pool remain operational, avoiding significant disruption for pupils and local community, and ultimately delivering an inspiring education and community facility.
The project is being delivered by Scottish Borders Council’s development partner, Hub South East Scotland, with Morrison Construction the appointed contractor. jmarchitects are lead consultant of the design team.
