Wallyford Learning Campus Officially Opens!

We are delighted to announce the official opening of Wallyford Learning Campus, the first secondary school to be delivered through the SFT's LEIP programme. This £47.5million facility represents a landmark in integrating education, health, wellbeing, and community services.

The opening ceremony was attended by Cabinet Secretary for Education and Skills, Jenny Gilruth, alongside representatives from East Lothian Council, Morrison Construction, Hub South East, and the local community. jmarchitects was represented by Stewart Davie, Adelle Jess, and Nik Shala, who joined the celebrations to mark this major achievement.

The campus is home to Rosehill High School, which features cutting-edge vocational spaces connected to local industry, colleges, and universities. These spaces provide pathways to employment and further education, contributing to regional and national economic growth. “The Brae”, a specialist facility for severe and complex needs, offers hydrotherapy, health and social care amenities, and a community hub for adults with additional needs.

Further enhancing its community impact, the campus integrates Wallyford Community Centre, a library, a café, sports facilities, and a crèche, creating an inclusive and vibrant hub for lifelong learning and wellbeing. The light-filled, nature-inspired interiors reflect the project’s emphasis on sustainability and inclusivity, making it a true model for intergenerational design.
