Welcome to the team, Elena Mileva!

We are thrilled to welcome Elena to jmarchitects as a Part II Architectural Assistant.

At jmarchitects, Elena will be exposed to a variety of projects that will not only challenge her skills but also foster professional development. This role promises to provide Elena with a wealth of practical knowledge, allowing her to explore different aspects of architecture and develop a well-rounded expertise.

We asked Elena a few questions to get to know her better and this is what she said…

Why did you choose a career in the construction industry?

“Through architecture you have the ability to have a direct positive impact both on people and the environment, which brings on more responsibilities on designers but also makes the job even more rewarding.”

 What is your biggest professional achievement?

“One of my most significant achievements has been receiving the Andrew Gillespie Trust travel scholarship. It was such a great opportunity to travel and study architecture in a completely new way. I was also one of Andrew’s students during my time at Strathclyde, made the experience even more special.”

 Which three people dead or alive would be your ideal dinner guests?

“Salvador Dali, Leonardo da Vinci and Frida Kahlo. I think that would make for an interesting conversation.”
