Welcome back, Caitlin!

We are thrilled to announce the return of Caitlin Rae to jmarchitects, this time as a Part II Architectural Assistant.

Cailtin originally joined our Glasgow studio in 2022 in the role of Part I Architectural Assistant, and we are absolutely delighted to have her back with us.

We asked Caitlin a few questions to get to know her better and this is what she said…

Where did you study and why did you choose that place?
“I studied at the Glasgow School of Art. I’ve always loved art and design, and it was my dream to study there. I originally applied for both interior design and architecture but chose architecture at GSA simply because I wanted to be part of the art school – little did I know it would be one of the best decisions I’d ever make.”

What trends do you feel are important in Architecture/Design?
“Sustainability, community-focused design, and the integration of green technologies are becoming more and more essential in the built environment.”

Tell us two interesting facts about yourself:

“I’m a qualified ski instructor and taught for three years.”
