Wallyford Learning Campus shortlisted in the Sustainability Category of the Brick Awards 2025!

jmarchitects is excited to share that another one of our projects, Wallyford Learning Campus, has been shortlisted in this year's Brick Awards! Huge thank you to manufacturer Forterra PLC for entering this project, and we are delighted it is accompanying St Andrews Drive Phases 2 & 3, and PLATFORM_ which we have also had shortlisted in the Large Housing Development category this year.
Wallyford Learning Campus comprises the design and construction of a modern education facility which is flexible, sustainable and utilised all year round. The first project in Phase 1 of the Scottish Government’s Learning Estate Investment Programme (LEIP) to reach site, Wallyford Learning Campus provides modern teaching and social spaces for 950 secondary pupils as well as a dedicated science, technology, engineering, arts and maths (STEAM) centre, 50 pupil severe and complex needs school, hydrotherapy pool and specialist provision community hub for adults with complex needs.
Forterra’s Carsington Cream brick was selected to achieve a welcoming and presence appropriate for a major intergenerational facility. Its subtle variation of cream tones and creased texture adds depth and richness to the façades, breaking down the massing and complementing the East Lothian context.
