jmarchitects had a really engaging Wednesday afternoon at Visioning Glasgow – A Call to Action.
Glasgow City Council, Glasgow Institute of Architects and the Royal Incorporation of Architects in Scotland successfully brought together a packed room of architects, planners, policy-makers, politicians and designers, from both practice and council.
Uplifting and Glasgow-positive keynote speeches by Lucie Murray (ING Media) and Patricia Fleming reflected on Glasgow’s past, present, future and reputation outwith the city. Marc Cairns (SFT) successfully led real ‘blue sky thinking’ workshops where we shared dialogue, ideas and sketches in a truly open forum. Paul Stallan (Stallan Brand) and Councillor Ruairi Kelly closed with some positive aspirations for Glasgow - all in the wonderful setting of Adelaide Place Venues!
“We were really glad we took the time out of a Wednesday afternoon to join a diverse room of people, all passionate about Glasgow’s future. We left feeling encouraged for Glasgow’s future and look forward to any future such sessions!”
