We are thrilled to confirm that planning approval has been granted for a new housing development in Perth, on behalf of our client Cullross Limited and Hillcrest Housing Association.

The site on St Andrew Street, formerly home to a Print & Design commercial unit, has been vacant for several years since its permanent closure. Strategically located less than a mile from Perth's city centre, the site benefits from excellent transport links, with Perth Bus Station to the east and Perth Train Station to the south and west, making it an ideal spot for a new residential development.

With support from Perth & Kinross Council, the design process has been carefully tailored to meet community needs and enhance the surrounding area. Demolition of the existing building is scheduled to begin in the coming months, clearing the way for construction of thirty-eight affordable housing flats. These will include a mix of one- and two-bedroom apartments, along with accessible ground floor units.

Drawing on our experience and collaboration with Cullross and the design team, the new development is designed to offer energy-efficient homes that incorporate the latest technologies, including advanced heating systems, and photovoltaic panels. This focus on sustainability, combined with the site’s proximity to local amenities and public transport, will not only reduce the area’s carbon footprint but also align with and support local environmental goals.

“We are thrilled that our St Andrew Street project has received planning approval. The project has been a collaborative effort between the Design Team and Perth & Kinross Council, so to have it approved, is a significant step forward in our mission to deliver high-quality, affordable housing."

“We are delighted to have another planning application for residential development approved.

Although this site already had planning approval; this didn’t align with the requirements of our RSL Partner, Hillcrest Homes, therefore we have spent the last 18 months working with both them and planning to meet all parties’ requirements. This teamwork has now come to fruition with this approval.

We now look forward to seeing works progress on site in the coming months to deliver these much-needed new homes.”
