Site Progress on Blindwells and Craighall Primary Schools!

We are excited to share a site update for Blindwells and Craighall Primary Schools in East Lothian which are progressing well. The scaffold has started to drop on both primary schools, revealing the brickwork and the sawtooth shaped roof.

Following completion of brickwork package by Kelly Contracts, Balfour Beatty Construction have started to dismantle the scaffolding to the main elevation, finally revealing the brickwork detailing. At the parapet of the nursery volume the double soldier course is now visible as well as the high quality of the sawtooth brickwork panels.

Internally, works are also progressing at good pace, with drylining nearly complete and services installation ongoing. We are now able to see the spaces taking shape as well as the massing of the building realised on the site.

The project is being delivered by East Lothian Council development partner, Hub South East Scotland, with Balfour Beatty Construction as the appointed contractor and jmarchitects as the lead consultant of the design team.
