Vision turned into reality at Scotia House!

Scotia House in Stirling has undergone an exciting transformation as the new FES headquarters. A collaborative effort delivering a dynamic, modern workspace that reflects the company's ambitions and technical excellence.

It’s fantastic to see the completed transformation of Scotia House in Stirling - a remarkable change. This project marks a major milestone as we deliver in conjunction with Linear Group , FES and Blyth and Blyth  the new headquarters for FES. Creating a workplace that reflects innovation, collaboration, and technical excellence.

From the outset, our focus has been on working closely with the client to bring their vision to life. Every design decision has been guided by the goal of showcasing their expertise in building services while creating a calm, contemporary environment for their team.

Key highlights of the approach:

• Maximising the existing building by unlocking its potential through clever interventions, such as increasing ceiling heights to open spaces for more light and a greater sense of volume.
• Building less by removing ceilings to create a clean, modern look and allows for exposed services that highlight the client's skill and expertise. This approach supports resource efficiency and sustainability, reducing unnecessary materials while creating a space that feels open and adaptable.
• This project is also a continuation of our interior architecture offering within jmarchitects, representing a close collaboration between our Interior Architects and Architects to deliver a cohesive and innovative design solution with technical excellence.

The final  result is a dynamic headquarters with an open plan office space designed for around 80 staff, complemented by an executive suite of offices and meeting spaces. This is more than just an office - it’s a statement of FES’s identity and ambition.

We have been proud to be part of this journey with FES and excited to see Scotia House evolve into a space that inspires productivity.
