jmarchitects attend The Radio Lollipop Wizarding Ball

Radio Lollipop has been supporting children in hospitals since 1979, providing care, comfort, play and entertainment to children in hospital, and here in Edinburgh since 1989, and jmarchitects were honoured to once again attend The Radio Lollipop Ball.

This year’s theme of the Wizarding Ball saw us sporting our best cloaks to enjoy the evening which included an auction, live entertainment, and plenty of dancing with some delicious ‘potions’.

Our very own Graham Barr has been involved with Radio Lollipop for over 33 years now, starting back in 1991 assisting at Radio Lollipop Roadshows, moving to help in the radio studio and joining as a volunteer when he turned 18 visiting the wards and then presenting a radio show!

Graham and the Radio Lollipop Ball team have now organised their 14th Radio Lollipop Ball and Graham commented: “I’ve enjoyed volunteering with Radio Lollipop being able to make a difference to patients and their families whilst they’ve been in hospital, being able to make them smile and laugh during these difficult times has been a joy. From visiting the wards, to presenting radio shows to now organising the Ball, I’ve taken a great deal from my time with Radio Lollipop, and it’s made me who I am today.”

We cannot thank Graham and his team enough for putting together this wonderful event! We also want to thank our guests for their fantastic company, we hope you enjoyed the evening, and we look forward to seeing you at another event soon!
