Planning Approved for Inspire Academy!
Inspire Academy has achieved Planning Consent!
The Planning Application has now been approved by Medway Council’s planning committee for this exciting project for a new SEND school in Gillingham, Kent. We are working with the contractors, ISG, to develop this Department for Education funded project, which will to start on site later in 2024.
The project involves constructing a new school for special needs pupils on a greenfield site, bordered by busy roads on two sides. This development will replace an existing school within the Parallel Learning Trust, addressing the acute shortage of SEMH and ASD places in the local area.
The school’s design emphasises the need for distinct, self-contained learning environments for each cohort while allowing shared access to sports facilities, specialist training areas, dining halls, and assembly halls.
The scheme aims to maximise shared facilities in the local community and ensures the building operates at net zero carbon emissions.
