Pedals and Pizza: Glasgow Studio Summer Party at the Velodrome!

On Friday, the jmarchitects Glasgow Studio took a well-earned break from the drawing board to celebrate our Summer Party with an afternoon out at the Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome.

The day began with an introductory training session on the world-class indoor track. For many of us, it was our first time on a velodrome, and thanks to expert guidance from the Velodrome staff, we were soon building confidence and pushing our limits. By the end of the session, several team members were riding high on the steep 45-degree banking, testing their speed and cheering each other on.

The day was rounded off with well-deserved pizza and drinks — the perfect way to catch up, and reflect on a memorable afternoon on the track (and one or two wobbly moments!).

A huge thank you to the Velodrome team for their excellent coaching and warm welcome. It was a fantastic day of learning, laughter, and team spirit, and a great reminder of the value of stepping away from our desks to connect and recharge (and see who’s ready for the Commonwealth Games 2026!)
