Passivhaus or equivalent New Scottish Legislation

We would like to commend the Scottish Ministers in committing to improving standards in new build homes to Passivhaus or equivalent to address the energy and climate crises with legislation to be amended by December 2024.

Designing to Passivhaus standards has a proven track record of accurately predicting in-use energy consumption and this will approach will ensure true low-energy buildings for the future of Scotland’s new housing developments leaving a forward-thinking positive legacy. jmarchitects are wholly supportive of this and as designers of Passivhaus projects are keen to use our expertise to deliver to the new Passivhaus housing standard.
