On the 10th day to Christmas, jmarchitects gave to thee… Enough bedrooms to house Santa’s elves twice over!

Our team have crunched the numbers - and the results are in. Across our completed residential developments, we’ve delivered a grand total of 1,341 bedrooms in 2025!

Although we didn’t set out to design accommodation for Santa’s elves, our work this year has gone far beyond walls and foundations. Each project - from estate renewals to new-build developments - has been about creating homes that strengthen communities, support families, and bring neighbourhoods to life.

One project in particular we should highlight is PLATFORM_ in Edinburgh. Not only did it deliver a whopping 797 bedrooms, it also introduced a new benchmark for Build-to-Rent living in the city. Designed to foster community and support modern lifestyles, the development combines high‑quality homes with shared amenities, sustainable design principles, and a strong connection to its surrounding neighbourhood - creating a vibrant, contemporary place to live at the heart of Edinburgh.
