Olivia joins jmarchitects Manchester studio!

Our Manchester studio is thrilled to have a new team member! Olivia joins us as our newest Assistant Architectural Technologist, and we are super excited to have her onboard with us.

We’re always working to build a strong, passionate and communicative team, and we believe that Olivia will fit right in with us.

We asked Olivia a few questions to get to know her better and this is what she said…

Why did you choose a career in the construction industry?

“I want to help shape the world around me, in a world that is not always built for everyone. I wanted to do my part in ensuring that inclusivity and accessibility are a bare minimum standard in every built environment.”

What skill has served you best in your career?

“Patience. That not everything can be done in the first 5 minutes, or even 5 hours, and sometimes not even in 5 days or weeks. And that with patience and perseverance, you can create the best version of yourself and your work.”

Tell us an interesting fact about yourself…

“As I was raised in a Welsh household, I sat my GCSE's and A-Levels in Welsh and then made a terrible decision at the time to attend an English University, where the course was strictly taught in English but all my vocabulary and knowledge at the time was in the wrong language. After months of relearning the knowledge in English, I made up for it!”
