The UKs biggest Urban Farm and Eco-Park has started on site!
Willmott Dixon break ground for the Visitor Centre and Forestry Skills Centre at Northern Roots Urban Farm and Eco-Park!
We’re excited to share that the Northern Roots Urban Farm project in Oldham has officially entered the construction phase!
With foundations due to be poured shortly and site visits making their way into our diaries, the vision we introduced in our last update is now becoming a reality.
Site activity is ramping up, within the next 2 months the carbon sequestering GluLam structure for the Visitors Centre and the steel structure for the Forestry Skills Centre will be delivered to site and the erection of the structure will commence.
We are very close to finalising the materials and finishes for both buildings which will tie in the journey of the project and the key stakeholder’s vision of creating a community hub echoing the landscape in harmony with nature.
