New proposals for Peterhead Community Campus

We are excited to share that the Proposal of Application Notice (PoAN) for the new Peterhead Community Campus has been submitted to the Planning Authority. Online consultation is available now through Aberdeenshire Council with public consultation events being held in the coming weeks to obtain feedback on the proposed facilities and design.

The new Community Campus is currently being developed as a replacement facility for Peterhead Academy, Dales Park Primary, Meethill Primary, and Anna Ritchie Schools. The facility shall provide education spaces for primary pupils, secondary pupils, and pupils with complex needs, whilst accommodating publicly accessible learning facilities such as indoor sports halls, fitness suite, warm water pool, outdoor pitches and recreational areas for community and school use.

The project is being developed to a Passivhaus Classic target, a LEIP Operational Energy of 67 kWh/sqm/annum target and Embodied Carbon benchmarking.

jmarchitects have been appointed as Lead Architect and Delivery Architect, working with Lead Designer, Henning Larsen Architects, on behalf of Aberdeenshire Council.
