Successful Completion: Montgomerie Park Primary School Handover in North Ayrshire

The Montgomerie Park Primary School project has reached a landmark conclusion, with the school now officially handed over to North Ayrshire Council. This project stands out as the first completed Passivhaus school in North Ayrshire, as well as a pioneering achievement for jmarchitects.

The new primary school in Irvine will accommodate a primary school roll of 342 pupils and an Early Learning and Childcare class comprising 32 spaces for 3–5-year-olds and 15 spaces for 2-year-olds. The facility also includes new external sports amenities, such as a 3G football pitch, MUGA, and playground area, providing valuable resources to the local community.

The completion of this project underscores our commitment to sustainable design, energy efficiency, and the future of educational spaces. We are particularly proud of the collaborative efforts that brought this vision to life, ensuring that the school not only meets but exceeds the rigorous standards of Passivhaus certification.
