Wellbeing Hub and Lochies School Community Consultation goes live!

The community of Clackmannanshire and beyond will have their opportunity to view and influence the proposals for the new Wellbeing Hub and replacement Lochies School.

Following the submission of the Proposal of Application Notice, the Virtual Town Hall event goes online on 20th March with in-person events being held at Alloa Town Hall, on Wednesday 27th March 2024 from 3pm to 7pm and at Tillicoultry Primary School on Thursday 28th March 2024 from 3.30pm to 7pm.  These events give the community a say on the proposals forming a future Planning Application. Further events will be held on 16th and 18th April.

Located on a spectacular site to the west side of Alloa, this new facility for Clackmannanshire will create a place where the whole community feels welcome and where inclusivity, equity and accessibility are central to the design concept.  The Hub looks to break down health inequalities by providing leisure and wellbeing facilities that respond to the diversities and specific needs of the community and where the co-location of Lochies School provides a unique opportunity for the sharing of specialist facilities. The building is aiming for Passivhaus Certification, a goal which aligns with the Scottish Governments LEIP ambitions and Clackmannanshire’s Climate Change Strategy.
