Cladding nearing completion at Liberton Community Campus!

We are pleased to be able to share another site progress update from our Liberton Community Campus project for The City of Edinburgh Council where the cladding is very nearly complete

Even in the rain, the bronze cladding and buff brickwork were looking sharp on site. However they also conceal the huge amount of design, coordination and attention to detail involved in the building envelope which is so important on a Passivhaus project.  The results are  a real testament to the collaboration of all involved.

The building’s cranked form is driven by the Passivhaus Classic brief, site constraints and the need to create a welcoming approach for on a site which has minimal frontage on to Gilmerton Road. The project which is part of phase two of the Learning Estate Investment Programme and in addition to Liberton High School, it will incorporate a GP practice, community library, meeting spaces, café and workspace for council partners – a true community campus.

Internally, it is great to see the scaffolding start to come down in the atrium spaces, giving a greater sense of what the space will be like when complete – more updates to follow as this progresses. We are excited to see our vision come to life over the coming months and make a lasting impact on the city and local community.
