jmarchitects attend University of Strathclyde Degree Show Opening

On Friday night the team attended the fantastic opening of the University of Strathclyde Architecture Degree Show. The quality of the work across the years was of an excellent standard, with an incredible depth and diversity of projects, with an outstanding range of models, drawings and visualisations on display.

jmarchitects have long encouraged an ethos of supporting the development of the next generation of architects across the country with our staff involved in the various architecture schools across Scotland. Our Glasgow studio has a strong and long-established connection with both schools in the city with Phil Zoechbauer and Gavin Murray tutoring at the University of Strathclyde and Henry McKeown and Ian Alexander tutoring at the Mackintosh School of Architecture.

I have really enjoyed tutoring at the university and seeing the students develop their projects over the year, which range from sensitive installations in the Scottish landscape to lunar colonies! It's an honour to play a small part in their journey on their way to becoming architects.”
