Hawthorns SEND nears Completion!

In anticipation of the new school year, we wanted to give the teachers, future pupils and their families a little taster of what to expect on their return from their summer holidays!

It’s been almost a year since we started on site and progress has been as planned. Everyone is eagerly awaiting for the building work to finish and the school to open, and no one more so than the teachers and the children with their families. They have already visited a couple of times and are getting increasingly more excited with the moving-in date fast approaching!

The whole team has worked tirelessly, collaboratively and seamlessly to deliver such a wonderful facility and we have all really enjoyed the process. We are already thinking how much we will miss this project and it’s not even completed yet.

Hawthorns SEND School is a new build single story SEND Primary School with additional Early Years' Provision for 220 children in the age bracket of 4 - 11 years. The school is designed for children with complex social communication needs, including children with severe autism and children with significant emotional dysregulation.

The school must be delivered in compliance with the Manchester Low Carbon Build Standard and achieve BREEAM Excellent.

This will be an exciting new state-of-the-art facility in a beautiful setting, and we are delighted to be a part of it!
