Hawkhill Primary School Officially Open!

We were pleased to attend the Official Opening of the new Hawkhill Primary School in Winchburgh on 26th September.

Hawkhill pupils were the stars of the show, performing two songs for the appreciative audience. Head of Education Lisamaria Purdie welcomed all the invited guests from the design team and local community as well as Fiona Hyslop MSP. Headteacher Kirsten Patience followed, and set out her vision for the new school as a safe and happy environment where children can achieve their full potential.

Councillor Tony Boyle, who unveiled a plaque to declare the new school open, said: “It was a huge honour to be invited to open the fantastic new Hawkhill Primary. The state-of-the-art facility will be the ideal venue for learning for many Winchburgh children now and in years to come."

The new single stream primary school and early years facility is located on the expanding eastern edge of Winchburgh, West Lothian. We are delighted to be continuing our successful collaboration with West Lothian Council, Hub South East and Morrison Construction following on from the recently completed Holy Family and Calderwood Primary schools.
