jmarchitects are excited to see the fast progress on Newcraighall

Work is progressing well on our residential development for Cullross Limited and Hillcrest Housing Association. Bathroom fittings and kitchens are now being installed in the flat blocks, and scaffolding is coming down on several townhouses, revealing the wonderful Marshalls Mayfair brick.

Since construction began in November 2024, the project - located east of Glennie Road - has remained on track to deliver 220 new homes, including 125 houses and 95 apartments. Our recent site visit highlighted just how far the project has advanced.

Fixtures and sanitary equipment are now being installed in the first block of flats, with the next two blocks close behind. Scaffolding has been removed from all three blocks, allowing us to fully appreciate the brick finish and admire the high standard of craftsmanship from Cullross to achieve this. Simultaneously, the brickwork is finished, and the scaffolding has come down at the first row of townhouses. The last lot of foundations are being completed for the remaining house types and slabs being poured.

We are delighted with the progress to date and with the continued collaboration across the team as we deliver this fantastic development to the east of Edinburgh. We look forward to sharing further updates as new milestones are reached.
