Exciting News! Hutton Hub Commended at the ASA Awards 2026

We’re delighted to share that Hutton Hub was commended in the Education category at the Aberdeen Society of Architects Awards 2026, announced at the awards ceremony held on 13 March.

It was a fantastic evening celebrating the projects that are shaping the future of the built environment in the North East. It was a pleasure to attend alongside colleagues and peers, and a special thank you to AtkinsRéalis for hosting our table.

Receiving this commendation is a wonderful recognition of the Hutton Hub’s transformative impact on the James Hutton Institute campus. The project introduces new conferencing facilities, a VR suite and an open science café, while revitalising previously underused areas into breakout rooms and support spaces. Together, these interventions create a vibrant new heart of the campus - a place for collaboration, innovation and connection.

A huge congratulations to the entire project team, and our sincere thanks to the Aberdeen Society of Architects for a memorable evening celebrating the very best of the region’s architecture.
