ERCP (Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangio-Pancreatography) Enabling Works

The second of the interventional diagnostic imaging rooms at UCLH, designed during lockdown, was completed and handed over this month to University College London Hospital’s very delighted clinicians. The room is to be used for cutting edge diagnosis and treatment of pancreatic cancer that combines the use of x-ray with the use of endoscopes, sometimes whilst the patient is under a general anaesthetic. The project required an understanding of the existing hospital’s healthcare planning parameters and a solution that enabled the construction to take place in a live hospital during UK’s third lockdown.
