Planning Permission Granted for Elements Edinburgh!

We are delighted to announce that planning permission has been granted for Elements Edinburgh! The application for a new mixed-use community, which we have progressed on behalf of our client, Crosswind Developments, was approved at Edinburgh Council’s Development Management Sub-Committee on 18th December. Situated between the new West Craigs and West Town developments, the transformation of this 29-hectare disused brownfield will see the creation of a vibrant new 20-minute neighbourhood, an environment where people can live, work and relax in inspiring, sustainable and inclusive surroundings while fostering a resilient community with a strong sense of place. The development includes a mixture of one, two, and three-bedroom flats and townhouses, together with a new primary school and commercial, hotel and office areas. With sustainability as a key focus of the project, the community will benefit from a car-lite approach and numerous green spaces, including the 4.5-hectare Gogar urban park and nearly 10km of designated walking and cycling routes, all interconnected through a network of blue and green streets. In addition to supporting the enhancement of biodiversity in open spaces, Elements Edinburgh buildings will be constructed to the highest energy-efficiency standards to lower heat demand, aiming to reduce household CO2 emissions to zero and provide homes with 100% renewable electricity.
