Easthouses Primary School is officially open!

We are delighted to announce the official opening of Easthouses Primary School. The new £21m building was designed by jmarchitects and recently completed for Midlothian Council and Hub South East.

The building was officially opened by Cabinet Secretary for Education and Skills, Jenny Gilruth, and Council Leader Councillor Kelly Parry, who were shown around the new facility by the pupils. The ceremony was also attended by representatives from Midlothian Council, Morrison Construction, Hub South East and jmarchitects, who were represented by Phil Zoechbauer.

Easthouses Primary School is a state-of-the-art learning facility with 80 early years places, 459 primary places and 16 ASN places, situated around a shared learning courtyard that puts outdoor learning, biophilic design and sustainability at the heart of its educational agenda. The project occupies a brownfield site and stitches together the existing Easthouses community to the north and new housing developments to the south, creating a focal point for the community.
