Planning Permission has been granted for Craighill!

We are delighted to confirm that planning approval has been granted for a new housing development in Aberdeen, which we have progressed on behalf of our client, Aberdeen City Council.

The Craighill development will provide 87no. units of varying size and typology to help meet a long-term need for affordable social housing in the city.

The development is designed to enhance placemaking and deliver high quality, energy-efficient homes designed for life – nestled amongst quality, accessible open space. The retention of key existing mature tree clusters present within the site will help retain its’ character and identity.

Homes are designed to meet ‘Housing for Varying Needs’ criteria and a generous proportion shall be wheelchair accessible.

A simple yet elegant building form utilising a restrained material palette, steep dual-pitch roofs and full height windows to flood internal spaces with light is replicated across the various block types to promote design consistency and create a cohesive and considered neighbourhood environment.

Sustainability and energy efficiency is of key importance to the development and a Gold Standard level of sustainability is targeted throughout.
