Exciting news, as Oak Glade, Chertsey receives validation!

As we start 2026, we are incredibly pleased to receive confirmation that our new care home, designed for Frontier Estates in Chertsey has been validated by Epsom and Ewell Council.

The new home will sit on a peaceful site bordered by mature woodland on one side and established residential areas on two sides.

Frontier Estates bring extensive experience in the care sector and will bring the right delivery and operational partners as the detailed design progresses. Should Epsom & Ewell grant consent, the partnership will be well positioned to move swiftly into delivery.

The site sits within an area of significant housing need, particularly for high‑quality later‑living and care accommodation. This project will help address that need by improving the local care home offering and providing greater choice for residents. In turn, this will help release existing homes back onto the market, supporting wider movement within the local housing market.

Nexus Planning have led the planning strategy, with jmarchitects heading the technical team. The project has been presented to officers on two occasions with officer support for the architectural approach. The scheme design carefully responds to the site’s unique constraints, including a line of mature trees along the eastern boundary and a listed lime tree to the south.

Our proposal comprises a two‑storey building with a set-back top floor, arranged as two wings splayed at 45 degrees. Drawing inspiration from the celebrated work of Lutyens and Voysey, the design aims to sit comfortably within its surroundings while making efficient use of the site.
