Brown Street submitted for Planning!

We are delighted to announce that proposals for a new residential development have been submitted for Planning on behalf of our client Cullross Limited and Hillcrest Housing Association.

Located on a prominent vacant brownfield site in Brown Street, Dundee, our proposed development aims to deliver sixty-three affordable housing flats, encompassing one-bed, two-bed, and three-bed apartments, alongside four ground-floor workshops. This strategic location promises to revitalize the once-neglected space into a vibrant hub that addresses both housing needs and local economic considerations.

Our carefully planned elevations feature brick cladding, chosen to seamlessly integrate with neighbouring properties. This design choice not only ensures a cohesive aesthetic but also adds to the overall visual appeal and harmony of the mixed-use accommodation development.

Beyond the development site, our goal is to positively impact the surrounding area, contributing meaningfully to the local environment and city context. Our proposal adopts sustainable urban development practices, focusing on the adaptive reuse of an existing industrial brownfield site.

A key aspect of the brief is to preserve the key features from the existing building in order to maintain historical continuity. We are eager to collaborate with Dundee City Council Planning Officials to refine and implement these proposals.
