Brick Works are a series of evenings that celebrate the very best of brick, and among a variety of exciting talks, we are delighted that our Project Director Cian Phelan and Architect Paul Smith will be shining a light on not one, but three jmarchitects projects nominated for this year's Brick Awards.
Brick Works are a series of evenings that celebrate the very best of brick, and among a variety of exciting talks, we are delighted that our Project Director Cian Phelan and Architect Paul Smith will be shining a light on not one, but three jmarchitects projects nominated for this year's Brick Awards.
Brick Works, by the Brick Development Association, offer practitioners and brick enthusiasts the opportunity to explore examples of contemporary brick architecture through a selection of talks, to network with peers, and add clay brick to your calendar of continuing professional development.
Cian and Paul’s talk will take you on a journey through St Andrew's Drive Phases 2 and 3, a development featuring 120 high-quality new homes in Pollockshields, Glasgow; PLATFORM_ in Edinburgh, an impressive development encompassing 464 apartments with areas of communal amenity in Bonnington, Edinburgh; and the Wallyford Learning Campus, a modern educational hub for 950 students built on a green site in East Lothian.
The team will engage in a deeper discussion on these projects, shedding light on the reasons, methodologies, and unique applications of the bricks employed across varying sectors and design needs.
