jmarchitects are happy to update that works are progressing well on site in Halifax on Placefirst’s 122 apartment Bolt Works scheme, being delivered by partner Caddick Construction.
The proposal will be built on the site of a former multi storey carpark and will provide 122 new one and two-bedroom BTR apartments in Halifax with bike storage and electric car charging points. The brownfield site offers a prime central location in close proximity to areas of employment and transport hubs, creating an attractive destination for people seeking vibrant Town Centre living.
Externally the building will utilise a high-quality buff brick, complemented with wet cast stone expressing a contemporary architectural language inspired from the local historical context and surrounding materiality. The fenestration detailing highlights a familiar style and rhythm identifiable in adjacent buildings enhancing the legibility of the street scene and providing a high-quality addition to Halifax Town Centre.
