Blocks emerging at Craighill!

jmarchitects are delighted to see several Craighill residential blocks emerging on site!

The Craighill site is one of several across Aberdeen that form part of the wider Aberdeen City Council Housing Programme aiming to address a long-term shortage of affordable social rented housing in the city and is the biggest housing programme in Aberdeen for over 50 years.

The development will deliver 87no. new homes of varying size and typology alongside associated shared surface streetscape and new pockets of quality accessible external open space. All homes are designed to be high quality spaces to inhabit, meeting ‘Housing for Varying Needs’ design criteria and a generous proportion shall be wheelchair accessible.

Sustainability and energy efficiency is of key importance to the development and the Client and project team are committed to providing quality, energy efficient homes with the aspiration that these dwellings become the standard for social housing across Scotland – not just Aberdeen.
