Blindwells and Craighall Primary Schools handed over and opening soon!

We’re excited to share that the newly built Blindwells and Craighall Primary Schools have now been officially handed over and are set to welcome students this August after the summer holidays!

Construction of the two schools began in February 2024, and after months of hard work, collaboration, and commitment from everyone involved, both schools have been successfully completed. East Lothian Council appointed Hub South East to deliver the new schools, with Balfour Beatty leading the projects. The combined cost for both schools was £49.6 million.

The designs for the new schools adhere to Passivhaus principles and have provided two, two stream primary schools with 14 classrooms each providing education for 420 children, both with an early years facility for up to 100 2-5 year olds.
