Our Manchester studio is delighted to welcome another new member to jmarchitects! Beth Carney joins us in the role of Part I Architectural Assistant!
We’re always working to build a strong, passionate, and collaborative team, and we believe Beth will fit right in with us! We can’t wait to see the incredible work she will produce and the positive impact she will have on our team.
We asked Beth a few questions to get to know her better and this is what she said…
Who has been the most influential n your work or work style?
“Dorte Mandrup, she is a Danish architect and the founder of the practice Dorte Mandrup. Her work is characterised as conceptually strong, innovative with an analytical approach.”
What trends do you feel are important to Architecture/Design?
“Adaptive re-use and renovation. There has been a noticeable increase in people taking on renovations and I think it is great when modern needs can be met with preserving cultural significance.”
Who’s your favourite band?
“Earth, Wind and Fire. Their music suits any occasion, at any point in the year, at any time in the day.”
