Built Environment – Smarter Transformation (BE-ST, formerly Construction Scotland Innovation Centre) held their inaugural festival of the zero carbon building environment’s main conference and expo on 25^th October and jmarchitects were delighted to be there.

Yunming Thomson, Doug Tullie, Claire Davie, Melissa Hart, Callum Joss and Magdalena Blazusiak, from our Edinburgh studio, headed across to the BE-ST Innovation Campus near Glasgow for a day jam-packed with inspiring speakers, introductions to innovative products as well as factory tours and seminars.

BE-ST is a not-for-profit organisation which provides the connections, infrastructure and culture needed to solve the sector’s most pressing challenges. They work together with businesses, organisations and individuals to enhance knowledge and skills, help people and companies access funding streams and develop new products, business models and services.

We were very grateful for the opportunity to attend BE-ST Fest alongside nearly 400 other industry professionals and students and we will be keeping our eyes peeled for future events and engagement opportunities with BE-ST.
