A grand day out at the Buccleuch Challenge 2025!

jmarchitects had yet another brilliant time taking part in this year’s Buccleuch Property Challenge for the third year in a row! This year we had Andy Rogers, Dan Calter and Sean Kirkbride competing for our Manchester studio and Keith Wilkinson, Doug Tullie and Colin Robertson for our Edinburgh Studio.

“Thankfully, it wasn’t as scorching hot as the previous two years, making for a much more pleasant temperature. The usual mix of adventure (and a little bit of luck!) saw us complete the course in just under 5½ hours. Sadly though, the podium eluded us this year, finishing 4th in the Male category, those pesky puzzle challenges once again got the better of us! Next year, we might swap some physical training for a bit more mental prep.

A special shout-out to this year’s ‘super-sub’, Colin, who, despite his longest previous event being just 10k, dug deep, kept going the whole way, and was lured on by the promise of a gourmet burger at the finish! A true champion who really embodied the spirit of ‘team’.”
