Since graduating from the University of Seville in 2010 with a Masters in Architecture, Aitor has worked in Spain, Poland and Scotland where he has lived since 2014.

Aitor brings extensive experience across a diverse range of sectors, including residential, commercial and conservation projects. His breadth of knowledge, technical expertise and thoughtful design approach will be a valuable asset to the practice as we continue to deliver exceptional outcomes for our clients. We are delighted to have him on board and look forward to the contribution he will make to our growing team.

We asked Aitor a few questions to get to know him better, here’s what he said:

What trends do you feel are important in Architecture/Design?

While globalisation provides unprecedented access to worldwide tech and innovation, studying vernacular architecture and local materials remains essential to preserving local identity. For me, the real balance in modern design lies in thoughtfully applying global advances to established regional architecture.

Who has been most influential on your work or work style?

Álvaro Siza. He's able to give a solution to a complex building with simplicity, sensibility and harmony. His architecture is timeless!

How do you switch off from work?

It's always been sport; futsal and football for years, then the gym more recently. These days, though, most of my "sport" is chasing my toddler round the playground!
