Our Glasgow studio is thrilled to have a new team member. Eilidh Calcott joins us as a Part II Architectural Assistant. We’re always working to build a strong, passionate and communicative team, and we believe that Eilidh will fit right in with us.

We asked Eilidh a few questions to get to know her better and this is what she said…

Why did you choose a career in the construction industry?

“In school I loved my graphic communication class which led me to considering architecture or graphic design, but ultimately I chose architecture as I was really interested in the design of the spaces around us and how they can impact us.”

What trends do you feel are important in Architecture/ Design?

“I think retrofit is one of the most important trends in architecture as extending the lifecycle of the architecture of a place creates more of a cultural impact. I think there is always space for innovation in architecture in terms of material and construction therefore we always have to be adaptive to change.”

Tell us two interesting facts about yourself…

“I once slept through an earthquake in Greece, and I have a unique name – there is no other Eilidh Calcott’s out there, which people don’t usually believe.”

We are delighted to have you on board, Eilidh!
