We are delighted that the New Gorbals Health & Care Centre has won the AJ’s Health & Wellbeing Project Award! The winners were announced last night at the awards ceremony in London, where our Managing Director Brian Thomson and Director, Henry McKeown were present to accept the award.
“It was a great night for Scottish practices and for our team at jmarchitects who worked so hard to help make a great building. It is always good when your work is acknowledged at this level.”
– Henry McKeown, jmarchitects Glasgow
The AJ Architecture Awards highlight the very best projects across a range of key categories – from heritage and cultural projects to leisure and workplace designs. This is the second year in a row that one of our health and wellbeing projects have been acknowledged by the AJ Architecture Awards. Last year, Maggie’s St Barts with Steven Holl Architects was a finalist in the same category.
The New Gorbals Health & Care Centre combines four GP services, Dental services and a variety of social care services under one roof, improving health services locally and contributing to the regeneration of the Gorbals area.
