
Our Edinburgh Directors, Stewart Davie and Rod Duncan are delighted to announce the promotion of Cian Phelan and Claire Davie to Project Director along with Mark Thompson who is promoted to Associate in our Glasgow Studio. Following the recent promotions of Lisa Rubython and Melissa Hart to Senior Architect along with the appointment of Yunming Thomson as Project Director these developments in our leadership team recognise the talents and contribution to the practice of all those involved and reflect the development of our studio structure to support our continued growth in the coming years.
Cian has worked for jmarchitects in our Glasgow, London and Edinburgh studios for over seventeen years, designing and delivering a considerable range of successful residential and education projects including the award-winning Graham Square 2 social housing project in Glasgow, Cardinal Wiseman School in London and multi award-winning James Gillespie’s High School Campus in Edinburgh. Cian is currently leading the £120million Bonnington BTR Development also in Edinburgh.
Claire has been with us for more than thirteen years and has played a pivotal role in the design development of our schools portfolio whilst also delivering projects in the Further Education and Commercial sectors. Projects include, Moray College Life Sciences, Inverness Royal Academy, Aegon Workspaces and most recently leading the Craighall and Blindwells Primary School projects in East Lothian.
Mark has been with us for eight years and has worked on a variety of projects in the Glasgow studio including the ground-breaking Stirling Care Village and innovative new housing projects at Kilbarchan, Elrig Gate and Mount Florida along with his most current projects at Craighill and Greenferns in Aberdeen.
Yunming joined us with a significant range of experience in the education, commercial and residential sector and is currently developing proposals for new research facilities, education projects and residential care developments.
Lisa and Melissa joined us as graduate architects and have successfully designed and delivered a variety of education projects. Lisa is currently the project lead on our passive house Liberton Community Campus project in Edinburgh while Melissa is leading our passive house Montgomerie Park Primary School project in North Ayrshire.
