
In May 2018 jmarchitects were appointed by The Robertson Trust to complete their restoration of Stirling Barracks at Forthside Way Stirling. jmarchitects were contracted to complete phase 2 of the woks from RIBA stage 4 to completion. The work was completed with the main contractor Ogilvie Construction Ltd.
The project proposal was to convert three old army barrack buildings into offices for local Stirling charities with the largest building; The French Barracks to be their flagship in Stirling. The project was split into 2 phases, 1st phase is enabling works, making the building wind and watertight, installing external windows and interior structural works. Phase 2 was fit out works including, internal and external stairs, internal partitions, wall and ceiling linings, fire protection to steel, internal doors, external screens/doors, fixtures & fittings and interior design.
The phase 2 works commenced on site on the 3rd of December with two of the blocks completing in August and subsequently tenanted by local charities. The remaining block known as “The Robertson Trust Conference Centre” (previously The French Barracks) is due to be complete by end of October.
