The jmarchitects Glasgow and Edinburgh studios have been making the most of the Scottish summer and getting some steps in for the Women in Property Step into Summer Challenge in support of the charities Women’s Aid and Girls out Loud.

The challenge began on the Summer Solstice, 21st June and ran until midnight last night, 5th July with the aim of collectively completing a virtual round the world trip. Although we didn’t quite make it all the way round, the route covered 38,643km, the equivalent of walking from London, through Europe, Asia and Australia and New Zealand, across the South Pacific to Easter Island!

Out of 85 entries, the three jmarchitects teams came in a respectable 34th, 52nd and 66th place with a collective total of 1253km covered.

The challenge has raised over £2,000 for Women’s Aid and Girls Out Loud. Well done to everyone involved – time to get in training for next year!
