Planning Approval has been granted for St Andrew’s Drive Phases 2 & 3. The project will provide 120 new homes and complete the St Andrew’s Drive Masterplan, creating a new residential quarter within Pollokshields, Glasgow.
Demolition of the imposing 1960’s slab blocks has been completed, opening up the site to new views and allowing greater amounts of sun and daylight to penetrate the development, improving the quality of light that will be enjoyed by future residents. Homes are provided with private terraces or balconies and have access to shared garden spaces set within a mature landscaped setting complimented by new tree planting, wildflowers, rain gardens and natural children’s play areas designed to provide attractive spaces for residents and to encourage biodiversity across the site.
The development will provide a mix of one, two and three-bed apartments, two-bed wheelchair accessible apartments and three and four-bed main-door maisonettes set within 14 separate blocks. A mix of tenure is also offered with 91 dwellings available for social rent and 29 dwellings available for shared equity.
Commencement of construction work on site is imminent with completion anticipated towards the end of 2022.
