We’re delighted to have been successful at the Scottish Design Awards with Market Street Hotel winning the Commercial/Office/Hotel Building or Project category and Maryhill Locks Commended in the Residential Category!
Market Street Hotel (Winner) Set behind a striking façade of Scottish stone at the point where Edinburgh’s historic Old Town meets the New Town, the hotel emerges as a cultural gateway to both the city’s storied past and its pulse-quickening present. Maryhill Locks (Commended) The project is the latest phase of the Maryhill Locks masterplan, the design brief for which was to create thirty-three sustainable and flexible 3 and 4 bed terraced houses. The site is complex due to the level changes (7m) across its overall narrow condition (17m at its narrowest point).
